Window sampling is used for the investigation of contaminated land, geotechnical investigations, and the installation of ground gas and groundwater monitoring wells. Depths of up to 10m below ground level can be achieved depending on soil type.
Yes. GeoPrime Solutions Ltd are members of the British Drilling Association (BDA) and accredited with City and Guilds. All site staff hold CSCS cards and all lead drillers are qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling.
Vacuum excavation uses high-power suction combined with jets of air or water to safely loosen and extract soil during site investigations. It is faster and safer than traditional hand excavation and significantly reduces the risk of damage to underground services.
GPR uses electromagnetic radiation pulses to image the subsurface. It is mandatory in the majority of mapping surveys where non-metallic services may be present, allowing engineers to identify buried utilities, voids, and other subsurface features without excavation.
A California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test assesses the strength of sub-grade soils for the design of roads, pavements, and concrete slab foundations. If you are planning a road, car park, or hardstanding you will likely need one. We carry out CBR and plate bearing tests across the UK and can help you interpret the results.
